O YOU APOSTLES! Partake of the good things of life, and do righteous deeds: verily, I have full knowledge of all that you do. 51 Your nation is but one nation, and I am your Lord, therefore fear Me. 52 But they (who claim to follow you) have torn their unity wide asunder, piece by piece, each group delighting in [but] what they themselves possess [by way of tenets]. 53 So leave them in their bewilderment for a while. 54 Do they think that by increasing their wealth and children 55 have no other purpose except to help them in acquiring material benefits? No indeed. But they do not understand. 56 Verily, [only] they who stand in reverent awe of their Sustainer, 57 who have full faith in the Signs of their Lord; 58 who associate none with their Lord in His Divinity, 59 Who give whatsoever they give (in His way), and their hearts tremble with fear that they have to go back to their Lord, 60 It is these who hasten in every good work, and these who are foremost in them. 61 And We charge no soul except [with that within] its capacity, and with Us is a record which speaks with truth; and they will not be wronged. 62 Yet their hearts are oblivious of this; and besides, they are busy with other things, 63 Until, when We seize in Punishment those of them who received the good things of this world, behold, they will groan in supplication! 64 [But they will be told] "Cry not in supplication today; for, behold, you shall not be succoured by Us! 65 My verses had already been recited to you, but you were turning back on your heels 66 In arrogance; talking nonsense about the Quran, and left him like one telling fables by night. 67 Then have they not reflected over the Qur'an, or has there come to them that which had not come to their forefathers? 68 Or did they not know their Messenger, so they are toward him disacknowledging? 69 Or do they say that he is possessed? In fact, he has brought the truth to them, but most of them abhor the truth. 70 And if the Truth had followed their desires, verily the heavens and the earth and whosoever is therein had been corrupted. Nay, We have brought them their Reminder, but from their Reminder they now turn away. 71 Or is it that you ask them a recompense? But the recompense of your Lord is best, and He is the best of those who provide sustenance. 72 And verily thou! thou callest them unto a Path straight. 73 but those who disbelieve the life hereafter deviate from the right path. 74 ۞ If We had mercy on them and removed their afflictions, they would still persist in their insolence, blindly wandering. 75 And indeed We seized them with punishment, but they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor did they invoke (Allah) with submission to Him. 76 when We opened on them a gate of severe punishment, they utterly despaired. 77
