1/2 Hizb 35
< random >
[Allah said], "O messengers, eat from the good foods and work righteousness. Indeed, I, of what you do, am Knowing. 51 Verily this your order is one order, and I am your Lord, so fear Me. 52 But their nations broke their tasks into pieces; every group happy with what it has. 53 So leave them in their intoxication till a time. 54 Do they think that in giving them wealth and children 55 Is [because] We hasten for them good things? Rather, they do not perceive. 56 Verily those who for fear of their Lord are in awe. 57 And those who believe in the revelations of their Lord, 58 And those who ascribe not partners unto their Lord, 59 who give what they give, with their hearts quaking, that they will return to their Lord: 60 it is they who vie with one another in doing good works, and it is they who outrun [all others] in attaining to them! 61 And We charge no soul except [with that within] its capacity, and with Us is a record which speaks with truth; and they will not be wronged. 62 Aye! their hearts are in bewilderment in respect thereof, and they have works beside that, of which they are workers. 63 until - after We shall have taken to task, through suffering, those from among them who [now] are lost in the pursuit of pleasures - they cry out in [belated] supplication. 64 [But they will be told] "Cry not in supplication today; for, behold, you shall not be succoured by Us! 65 My Signs were rehearsed to you and you turned back on your heels and took to flight, 66 Stiff-necked, discoursing thereof by night, reviling. 67 Pondered they not over the Word? or came there unto them that which came not unto their fathers ancient? 68 Or is it, perchance, that they have not recognized their Apostle, and so they disavow him? 69 Or do they say, 'He is bedevilled'? Nay, he has brought them the truth, but most of them are averse from the truth. 70 And had the Truth followed their desires, then indeed the heavens and the earth and all those who are in them would be destroyed; in fact We brought to them a thing in which lay their repute, so they are turned away from their own repute. 71 Or dost thou ask them for tribute? Yet the tribute of thy Lord is better, and He is the best of providers. 72 You are surely calling them to the right path. 73 And verily those who believe not in the Hereafter are from the path deviating. 74 ۞ Even if We showed them mercy and relieved them of their afflictions, they would still persist in their transgression, wandering blindly. 75 Already We have seized them with the punishment, but they neither humbled themselves to their Lord, nor did they beseech Him, 76 So that when at last We open up the gate of severe punishment on them they will be overwhelmed with despair. 77
