O (you) Messengers! Eat of the Taiyibat [all kinds of Halal (legal) foods which Allah has made legal (meat of slaughtered eatable animals, milk products, fats, vegetables, fruits, etc.)], and do righteous deeds. Verily! I am Well-Acquainted with what you do. 51 And indeed this, your religion, is one religion, and I am your Lord, so fear Me." 52 But people later cut up their religion into bits, each group rejoicing in what they have. 53 So leave them in their intoxication till a time. 54 Deem they that in the wealth and sons wherewith We enlarge them. 55 We would hasten them on in every good? Nay, they do not understand. 56 Verily! Those who live in awe for fear of their Lord; 57 And those who believe in the signs of their Lord – 58 And those who do not associate (aught) with their Lord, 59 and who give whatever they [have to] give with their hearts trembling at the thought that unto their Sustainer they must return: 60 it is these who hasten to do good works and vie in so doing with one another. 61 We do not burden a soul beyond capacity, for We have a record that tells the truth. No wrong will be done to any one. 62 But their hearts are in confused ignorance of this; and there are, besides that, deeds of theirs, which they will (continue) to do,- 63 But when We seize with the punishment those of them that live in ease, they groan. 64 Do not cry out today. Indeed, by Us you will not be helped. 65 Time and again were My messages conveyed unto you, but [every time] you would turn about on your heels 66 being proud against it, talking foolishness by night. 67 Have they not pondered the Word, or hath that come unto them which came not unto their fathers of old? 68 Or did they not know their Messenger, so they are toward him disacknowledging? 69 Or do they say, "In him is madness?" Rather, he brought them the truth, but most of them, to the truth, are averse. 70 Had the truth followed their fancies, the heavens, the earth, and all who live in them would have surely been corrupted. No, We brought them their Remembrance; but from their Remembrance they turn away. 71 Or dost thou ask them for tribute? Yet the tribute of thy Lord is better, and He is the best of providers. 72 Assuredly thou art calling them to a straight path; 73 but those who do not believe in the Hereafter are ever prone to deviate from the Right Way. 74 ۞ Did We have mercy on them, and remove the affliction that is upon them, they would persist in their insolence wandering blindly. 75 We had seized them with the punishment, but they did not bow before their Lord nor turned to Him in humility, 76 Until when We have opened before them a door of severe punishment, immediately they will be therein in despair. 77
