It is He who gave you hearing, sight, and hearts, but only few of you give thanks. 78 It is God who has settled you on the earth and before Him you will all be assembled. 79 It is He who gives life, and makes to die, and to Him belongs the alternation of night and day; what, will you not understand? 80 And talk as did the people of old. 81 They say: "What! when we die and become dust and bones, could we really be raised up again? 82 "Such things have been promised to us and to our fathers before! they are nothing but tales of the ancients!" 83 Ask them: "Whose is the earth and those who are in it? Tell us if you know" 84 [And they will reply: "Unto God." Say: "Will you not, then, bethink yourselves [of Him]?" 85 Say: "Who is it that sustains the seven heavens and is enthroned in His awesome almightiness?" 86 They will say: "God." Say: "Then why do you not obey and fear Him?" 87 Say: "Whose is the sovereignty over all things, who protects, and against whom there is no protection? {Answer) if you have knowledge." 88 They will say, "[All belongs] to Allah." Say, "Then how are you deluded?" 89 We have revealed to them the truth. But they are certainly liars. 90 No son (or offspring or children) did Allah beget, nor is there any ilah (god) along with Him; (if there had been many gods), behold, each god would have taken away what he had created, and some would have tried to overcome others! Glorified be Allah above all that they attribute to Him! 91 The Knower of the unseen and the seen, so may He be exalted above what they associate (with Him). 92
