[O MEN! Pay heed to God's messages,] for it is He who has endowed you with hearing, and sight, and minds: [yet] how seldom are you grateful! 78 And it is He Who has spread you in the earth, and towards Him you are to be raised. 79 And it is He Who gives life and causes death, and His is the alternation of night and day. Will you not then understand? 80 Rather, they say like what the former peoples said. 81 They say: "When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, shall we be raised to life again? 82 "Verily, this we have been promised, we and our fathers before (us)! This is only the tales of the ancients!" 83 (Muhammad), say to them, "Tell me, if you know, to whom does the earth and its contents belong?" 84 They will say: 'To Allah' Say: 'Then will you not remember' 85 Say, "Who is Lord of the seven heavens and Lord of the Great Throne?" 86 They will say, "[They belong] to Allah." Say, "Then will you not fear Him?" 87 Ask them, "If you have any knowledge, in whose hands is the ownership of all things? Who is the one who gives protection and yet He Himself is never protected?" 88 They will reply spontaneously, "It is God." Ask them, "Why has falsehood bewitched you?" 89 Nay! We have brought to them the truth, and most surely they are liars. 90 Allah hath not chosen any son, nor is there any god along with Him; else would each god have assuredly championed that which he created, and some of them would assuredly have overcome others. Glorified be Allah above all that they allege. 91 The knower of the absent and the present, too exalted is He for what they associate (with Him)! 92
