It is He Who has endowed you with the faculties of hearing and sight and has given you hearts (to think). Scarcely do you give thanks. 78 And He it is who has caused you to multiply on earth; and unto Him you shall be gathered. 79 It is He who gives you life and death, and His the alternation of night and day. Even then you do not understand, 80 Nay, they say the like of what the ancients said: 81 They say: When we are dead and have become (mere) dust and bones, shall we then, forsooth, be raised again? 82 “Indeed this promise was given to us and before us to our forefathers – this is nothing but stories of earlier people.” 83 (Muhammad), say to them, "Tell me, if you know, to whom does the earth and its contents belong?" 84 They will say: 'To Allah' Say: 'Then will you not remember' 85 Say thou: who is Lord of the seven heavens and Lord of the mighty throne? 86 They will quickly say, "It is God." Say, "Will you not then have fear of Him?" 87 Ask them, "If you have any knowledge, in whose hands is the ownership of all things? Who is the one who gives protection and yet He Himself is never protected?" 88 'Allah' they will reply. Say: 'How then can you be so bewitched' 89 Aye! We have brought them the truth and verily they are the liars. 90 Allah has not chosen any child, nor any other God along with Him – were it so, each God would have taken away its creation, and each one would certainly wish superiority over the other; Purity is to Allah above all the matters they fabricate. 91 All-Knower of the unseen and the seen! Exalted be He over all that they associate as partners to Him! 92
