It is He who gave you hearing, sight, and hearts, but only few of you give thanks. 78 And it is He Who has spread you in the earth, and towards Him you are to be raised. 79 It is He who gives life and causes death and it is He who alternates night and day. Will you not then understand? 80 On the contrary they say things similar to what the ancients said. 81 They say: "Is it that when we are dead and have been reduced to dust and bones, shall we then be raised up again? 82 We and our fathers have been promised this before. It is but of the ancients' fictitious tales' 83 Say: Whose is the earth, and whoever is therein, if you know? 84 They will say, "To God." Say, "So will you not pay heed? 85 Say: Who is Lord of the seven heavens, and Lord of the Tremendous Throne? 86 They will say: "God." Say: "Then why do you not obey and fear Him?" 87 Say: In Whose hand is the dominion over all things and He protecteth, while against Him there is no protection, if ye have knowledge? 88 Thereupon they will say, “Such greatness is only that of Allah”; say, “Then by what magic are you deceived?” 89 Nay! We have brought to them the truth, and most surely they are liars. 90 Never did Allah take unto Himself any son, nor is there any god other than He. (Had there been any other gods) each god would have taken his creatures away with him, and each would have rushed to overpower the other. Glory be to Allah from all that they characterize Him with! 91 Knower of the unseen and the visible; He is exalted above all that which they associate with Him. 92
