It is He Who has endowed you with the faculties of hearing and sight and has given you hearts (to think). Scarcely do you give thanks. 78 And He it is Who hath sown you broadcast in the earth, and unto Him ye will be gathered. 79 And it is He Who gives life and causes death, and His is the alternation of night and day. Will you not then understand? 80 Nay, but they said the like of what the ancients said. 81 They say: when we are dead, and have become dust and bones, shall we verily be raised up? 82 Indeed, this [very thing] we have been promised - we and our forefathers - long ago! This is nothing but fables of ancient times!" 83 Say: Whose is the earth, and whoever is therein, if you know? 84 They will quickly reply, "It belongs to God." Say, "Will you not, then, take heed?" 85 Say: 'Who is the Lord of the seven heavens and the Lord of the mighty Throne?' 86 They will say, 'God's.' Say: 'Will you not then be godfearing?' 87 Say: "Whose is the sovereignty over all things, who protects, and against whom there is no protection? {Answer) if you have knowledge." 88 They will say, "[All belongs] to Allah." Say, "Then how are you deluded?" 89 Nay, but We brought them the truth and they are truly liars. 90 Never did God take unto Himself any offspring, nor has there ever been any deity side by side with Him: [for, had there been any,] lo! each deity would surely have stood apart [from the others] in whatever it had created, and they would surely have [tried to] overcome one another! Limitless in His glory is God, [far] above anything that men may devise by way of definition, 91 The Knower of the unseen and the seen, so may He be exalted above what they associate (with Him). 92
