Pray, “My Lord! If You show me the promise they are given,” 93 My Lord! then set me not among the wrongdoing folk. 94 And We are certainly able to show thee (in fulfilment) that against which they are warned. 95 Repel thou the evil with that which is the best, We are the Best Knower of that which they utter. 96 And say thou: my Lord! I seek refuge with Thee against the whisperings of the satans. 97 "And I seek refuge with You, My Lord! lest they may attend (or come near) me." 98 lt ceaseth not until when death cometh to one of them, and he saith: my Lord! send me back. 99 That I may do right in that which I have left behind! But nay! It is but a word that he speaketh; and behind them is a barrier until the day when they are raised. 100 And when the Horn is blown, on that Day their ties of kindred shall be no more, nor will they ask each other. 101 Then, those whose scales (of good deeds) are heavy, - these, they are the successful. 102 and he whose scales are light -- they have lost their souls in Gehenna dwelling forever, 103 The Fire shall scorch their faces, exposing their jaws. 104 Were not My messages recited to you and did you not reject them? 105 They shall say, 'Our Lord, our adversity prevailed over us; we were an erring people. 106 "Our Lord! bring us out of this: if ever we return (to Evil), then shall we be wrong-doers indeed!" 107 He will say, "Be quiet and say nothing." 108 Lo! there was a party of My slaves who said: Our Lord! We believe, therefor forgive us and have mercy on us for Thou art Best of all who show mercy; 109 “So you took them for a mockery until your mocking at them made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them!” 110 "I have rewarded them this Day for their patience and constancy: they are indeed the ones that have achieved Bliss..." 111 He will ask, "How many years did you stay on earth?" 112 They will say, "We remained a day or part of a day; ask those who enumerate." 113 He will say: "Ye stayed not but a little,- if ye had only known! 114 "Did you think that We had created you in play (without any purpose), and that you would not be brought back to Us?" 115 Exalted then be God, the King, the Real. There is no god but He, the Lord of the glorious throne. 116 He, who invokes another deity along with God, a deity of whose divinity he has no proof, will be brought to account by his Lord. Certainly, those who deny the truth shall never prosper. 117 And say: O my Lord! forgive and have mercy, and Thou art the best of the Merciful ones. 118
