SAY: "O my Sustainer! If it be Thy will to let me witness [the fulfillment of] whatever they [who blaspheme against Thee] have been promised [to suffer] 93 O my Lord, do not put me among the harmdoing people' 94 And verily to shew them that wherewith We threaten them We are surely Able. 95 Repel evil with the best deeds; We well know the matters that they fabricate. 96 And say "O my Lord! I seek refuge with Thee from the suggestions of the Evil Ones. 97 I seek refuge with You, Lord, lest they should come near me." 98 Until, when death cometh unto one of them, he saith: My Lord! Send me back, 99 haply I shall do righteousness in that I forsook.' Nay, it is but a word he speaks; and there; behind them, is a barrier until the day that they shall be raised up. 100 And when the trumpet is blown there will be no kinship among them that day, nor will they ask of one another. 101 Those whose scales are heavy shall prosper, 102 And those whose scales (of good deeds) are light, they are those who lose their ownselves, in Hell will they abide. 103 the Fire smiting their faces the while they glower there. 104 'What, were My signs not recited to you, and you cried them lies?' 105 They shall say, 'Our Lord, our adversity prevailed over us; we were an erring people. 106 "Our Lord! Bring us out of this; if ever we return (to evil), then indeed we shall be Zalimun: (polytheists, oppressors, unjust, and wrong-doers, etc.)." 107 He shall say: Go away into it and speak not to Me; 108 Lo! there was a party of My slaves who said: Our Lord! We believe, therefor forgive us and have mercy on us for Thou art Best of all who show mercy; 109 you made a laughingstock of them and your hostility to them caused you to forget Me, and you simply kept laughing. 110 I have rewarded them this day for they were constant, and they have come to attainment." 111 He will ask, "How many years did you stay on earth?" 112 They will reply: 'A day, or part of a day; ask those who have kept count' 113 God will say, "You have indeed remained there for a short time. Would that you knew it during your life time. 114 Did you, then, think that We created you in mere idle play, and that you would not have to return to Us?" 115 Exalted then be God, the King, the Real. There is no god but He, the Lord of the glorious throne. 116 He who invokes any other god along with Allah " one for whom he has no evidence" his reckoning is with his Lord alone. Indeed, these unbelievers shall not prosper. 117 And say: 'My Lord, forgive and have mercy, for Thou art the best of the merciful.' 118
