Say (O Muhammad SAW): " My Lord! If You would show me that with which they are threatened (torment), 93 O my Lord, do not put me among the harmdoing people' 94 And indeed We are Able to show you (O Muhammad SAW) that with which We have threatened them. 95 Repel evil with that which is better. We are Best-Acquainted with the things they utter. 96 and say, "My Lord, I seek refuge with You from the prompting of the devils. 97 I seek refuge in You lest they come to me." 98 (In Falsehood will they be) Until, when death comes to one of them, he says: "O my Lord! send me back (to life),- 99 That I may do some good I did not do (in the world)." Not so. These are only words he utters. Behind them lies the intervening barrier (stretching) to the day of their resurrection. 100 When the trumpet blast is sounded no ties of lineage will hold among them, nor will they ask after one another. 101 It will be an Hour when those whose scales are heavy, they alone will attain success; 102 And he whose balances shall be light - these are they who have lost themselves; in Hell they are abiders. 103 The Fire will burn their faces, and therein they will grin, with displaced lips (disfigured). 104 [It will be said]. "Were not My verses recited to you and you used to deny them?" 105 They will say: Our Lord! Our evil fortune conquered us, and we were erring folk. 106 O our Lord! Take us out of it; then if we return (to evil) surely we shall be unjust. 107 [But] He will say: "Away with you into this [ignominy]! And speak no more unto Me! 108 There is a party of My servants who said, "Our Lord, we believe; therefore forgive us, and have mercy on us, for Thou art the best of the merciful." 109 you made a laughingstock of them and your hostility to them caused you to forget Me, and you simply kept laughing. 110 Surely I have rewarded them this day because they were patient, that they are the achievers. 111 He will say: how long tarried ye on the earth in number of year? 112 They will say: "A day or less than a day. Ask the enumerators of numbers." 113 He (Allah) will say: "You stayed not but a little, if you had only known! 114 Deemed ye then that We had created you for naught, and that ye would not be returned unto Us? 115 [KNOW,] then, [that] God is sublimely exalted, the Ultimate Sovereign, the Ultimate Truth: there is no deity save Him, the Sustainer, in bountiful almightiness enthroned! 116 And the one who worships any other God along with Allah – of which he does not have any proof – his account is with his Lord; indeed there is no salvation for the disbelievers. 117 So say: "O my Lord! grant Thou forgiveness and mercy for Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!" 118
