Say, [O Muhammad], "My Lord, if You should show me that which they are promised, 93 O my Lord, do not put me among the harmdoing people' 94 And indeed, We are able to show you what We have promised them. 95 Respond to the injustice (done to you) with the better deed. We know best what they attribute to God. 96 And say: 'O my Lord, I take refuge in Thee from the evil suggestions of the Satans, 97 and I take refuge in Thee, O my Lord, lest they attend me.' 98 Until, when death comes to one of them (those who join partners with Allah), he says: "My Lord! Send me back, 99 that I have left behind. I am likely to do good." Nay, it is merely a word that he is uttering. There is a barrier behind all of them (who are dead) until the Day when they will be raised up. 100 When the trumpet is blown, on that Day there will be no ties of relationship between them; neither will they ask about one another: 101 And those whose scales are heavy [with good deeds] - it is they who are the successful. 102 But those whose scales are light - those are the ones who have lost their souls, [being] in Hell, abiding eternally. 103 Their faces will be scorched by flames, and they will grin and scowl within it. 104 (We shall say): 'Were My verses not recited to you, and did you not belie them' 105 'Lord' they will reply, 'adversity prevailed over us and we were erring. 106 O our Lord! take us forth from it; then if we return, we shall be wrong-doers indeed. 107 He (Allah) will say: "Remain you in it with ignominy! And speak you not to Me!" 108 "Indeed there was a group among My bondmen who said, 'Our Lord! We have accepted faith, therefore forgive us and have mercy on us, and You are the Best Among The Merciful.' 109 But you took them for a laughing-stock, till they made you forget My remembrance, mocking at them. 110 [But,] behold, today I have rewarded them for their patience in adversity: verily, it is they, they who have achieved a triumph!" 111 He will say: "What number of years did ye stay on earth?" 112 They will say, "We remained a day or part of a day; ask those who enumerate." 113 He will say: 'You have tarried a little, did you know? 114 What! did you then think that We had created you in vain and that you shall not be returned to Us? 115 So Most Supreme is Allah, the True King; there is no God except Him; Lord of the Throne of Honour. 116 Whosoever calls upon another god, other than Allah, having no proof his reckoning will be with his Lord. The unbelievers shall never prosper. 117 And say: 'My Lord, forgive and have mercy, for Thou art the best of the merciful.' 118
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
