Say, [O Muhammad], "My Lord, if You should show me that which they are promised, 93 exclude me from the unjust people". 94 And most surely We are well able to make you see what We threaten them with. 95 Repel evil with that which is better. We know that which they describe. 96 And say: 'O my Lord, I seek refuge in You from evil suggestions of the satans. 97 "And I seek refuge with You, My Lord! lest they may attend (or come near) me." 98 [AS FOR THOSE who will not believe in the life to come, they go on lying to themselves] until, when death approaches any of them, he prays: "O my Sustainer! Let me return, let me return [to life,] 99 “Perhaps I may do some good deeds in what I have left behind”; this is just a word that he utters from his mouth; and confronting them is a barrier until the day in which they will be raised. 100 So when the Horn is blown, no relationship will there be among them that Day, nor will they ask about one another. 101 Then, those whose scales (of good deeds) are heavy, - these, they are the successful. 102 but those whose scales are light shall forfeit their souls and live in Gehenna (Hell) for ever. 103 The Fire will burn their faces, and therein they will grin, with displaced lips (disfigured). 104 “Were not My verses recited to you, so you used to deny them?” 105 They will say: Our Lord! Our evil fortune conquered us, and we were erring folk. 106 "Our Lord! Bring us out of this; if ever we return (to evil), then indeed we shall be Zalimun: (polytheists, oppressors, unjust, and wrong-doers, etc.)." 107 He will say: 'Slink there in it and do not speak to Me' 108 There was a section among My creatures that said: 'O Lord, we believe. Forgive us and have mercy upon us, for You are the best of the merciful.' 109 But you ridiculed them. So much so that out of (spite) for them you forgot to remember Me and laughed at them. 110 Verily! I have rewarded them this Day for their patience, they are indeed the ones that are successful. 111 They will be asked: "How long did you live on the earth in terms of years?" 112 They will reply. "We remained for about a day or part of it, but ask those who have kept count". 113 He will say, “You stayed but only a little, if you knew.” 114 Did you imagine that We created you without any purpose, and that you will not be brought back to Us?" 115 Exalted then be God, the King, the Real. There is no god but He, the Lord of the glorious throne. 116 And whosoever calleth, along with Allah, unto god, of whom he hath no warranty, then his reckoning is only with his Lord; verily thrive will not the infidels. 117 And say thou: my Lord! forgive and have mercy, and Thou art the Best of the merciful ones. 118
