Pray, (O Muhammad): "My Lord, if You should bring the scourge of which they had been warned in my presence, 93 My Lord! then place me not with the unjust. 94 We have the Power to strike them with torment before your very eyes. 95 (O Muhammad)! Repel evil in the best manner. We are well aware of all that they say about you. 96 And say: "O my Sustainer! I seek refuge with Thee from the promptings of all evil impulses; 97 and I take refuge in Thee, O my Lord, lest they attend me.' 98 Until when death overtakes one of them, he says: Send me back, my Lord, send me back; 99 haply I shall do righteousness in that I forsook.' Nay, it is but a word he speaks; and there; behind them, is a barrier until the day that they shall be raised up. 100 So when the trumpet is blown, there shall be no ties of relationship between them on that day, nor shall they ask of each other. 101 And they whose weight [of righteousness] is heavy in the balance - it is they, they who will have attained to a happy state; 102 And the ones whose scales prove light – it is they who put their lives into ruin, remaining in hell forever. 103 The fire shall scorch their faces, and they therein shall be in severe affliction. 104 Have not My revelations been rehearsed unto you, and them ye have been belying? 105 They will say, “Our Lord! Our ill-fate overcame us, and we were the astray people.” 106 Lord, take us out of this and if we sin again, we shall certainly be unjust". 107 He saith: Begone therein, and speak not unto Me. 108 There is a party of My servants who said, "Our Lord, we believe; therefore forgive us, and have mercy on us, for Thou art the best of the merciful." 109 But you took them for a laughingstock, so much so that they made you forget My Remembrance while you used to laugh at them! 110 Indeed, I have rewarded them this Day for their patient endurance - that they are the attainers [of success]." 111 God will ask them, "How many years did you live in your graves?" 112 They will say: we tarried a day or part of a day; ask those who keep count. 113 God will say, "You have indeed remained there for a short time. Would that you knew it during your life time. 114 Then did you think that We created you uselessly and that to Us you would not be returned?" 115 Then, exalted be God, the true King, there is no deity except Him, the Lord of the Glorious Throne. 116 Hence, he who invokes, side by side with God, any other deity - [a deity] for whose existence he has no evidence - shall but find his reckoning with his Sustainer: [and,] verily, such deniers of the truth will never attain to a happy state! 117 And say: 'My Lord, forgive and have mercy, for You are the Best of the merciful' 118
