Pray, "Lord, if you would show me that [the punishment] of which they have been warned, 93 My Lord! then place me not among the wrong-doing people. 94 And indeed, We are able to show you what We have promised them. 95 Repel evil with what is best, We are well aware of the things they say, 96 And submit, “My Lord! I seek Your refuge from the instigation of the devils.” 97 And I seek refuge with Thee, my Lord! lest they may be present with me. 98 (In Falsehood will they be) Until, when death comes to one of them, he says: "O my Lord! send me back (to life),- 99 that I have left behind. I am likely to do good." Nay, it is merely a word that he is uttering. There is a barrier behind all of them (who are dead) until the Day when they will be raised up. 100 When the trumpet blast is sounded no ties of lineage will hold among them, nor will they ask after one another. 101 Then those whose scales are heavy, they are the successful. 102 but those whose scales are light shall forfeit their souls and live in Gehenna (Hell) for ever. 103 The fire burneth their faces, and they are glum therein. 104 "Were not My messages read out to you? But you denied them." 105 They will say: Our Lord! Our evil fortune conquered us, and we were erring folk. 106 "Our Lord! bring us out of this: if ever we return (to Evil), then shall we be wrong-doers indeed!" 107 He saith: Begone therein, and speak not unto Me. 108 Indeed, there was a party of My servants who said, 'Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us and have mercy upon us, and You are the best of the merciful.' 109 But you ridiculed them. So much so that out of (spite) for them you forgot to remember Me and laughed at them. 110 I have rewarded them this day for they were constant, and they have come to attainment." 111 He will ask, "How many years did you stay on earth?" 112 They will say: "We stayed a day or part of a day: but ask those who keep account." 113 He will say: ye tarried a little indeed; would that ye had known that. 114 "Do you imagine that We created you without any purpose and that you would not be brought back to Us?" 115 So exalted is Allah, the Sovereign, the Truth; there is no deity except Him, Lord of the Noble Throne. 116 And whosoever calleth, along with Allah, unto god, of whom he hath no warranty, then his reckoning is only with his Lord; verily thrive will not the infidels. 117 And say: O my Lord! forgive and have mercy, and Thou art the best of the Merciful ones. 118
