Say, "Lord, if you will afflict them with punishment, 93 exclude me from the unjust people". 94 And most surely We are well able to make you see what We threaten them with. 95 [But whatever they may say or do,] repel the evil [which they commit] with something that is better: We are fully aware of what they attribute [to Us]. 96 And say thou: my Lord! I seek refuge with Thee against the whisperings of the satans. 97 And I seek refuge in Thee! O my Lord! from their presence. 98 Until, when death comes to one of them (those who join partners with Allah), he says: "My Lord! Send me back, 99 so that perhaps I shall act righteously for the rest of my life." Although he will say so but his wish will never come true. After death they will be behind a barrier until the day of their resurrection. 100 So when the Horn is blown, no relationship will there be among them that Day, nor will they ask about one another. 101 Then those whose scales are heavy, they are the successful. 102 and those whose scales are light, those will be the ones who will have courted loss. They will abide in Hell. 103 The Fire will scorch their faces, and therein they shall be grinning. 104 Have not My revelations been rehearsed unto you, and them ye have been belying? 105 They will say: "our Lord! Our misfortune overwhelmed us, and we became a people astray! 106 "Our Lord! Bring us out of this; if ever we return (to evil), then indeed we shall be Zalimun: (polytheists, oppressors, unjust, and wrong-doers, etc.)." 107 Allah will say: "Away from Me; stay where you are and do not address Me. 108 Among My worshipers there were a party who said: "Lord, we believed. Forgive us and have mercy on us: You are the Best of the merciful." 109 But you took them for a mockery until they made you forget My remembrance and you used to laugh at them. 110 Lo! I have rewarded them this Day for their steadfastness, so that they, and they alone, are triumphant." 111 He will say: "What number of years did ye stay on earth?" 112 They will say, "We stayed a day or part of a day. Ask those who have kept count." 113 He will say, "You only stayed for a little while, if only you knew. 114 Then did you think that We created you uselessly and that to Us you would not be returned?" 115 High Exalted be Allah, the King, the Truth. There is no god except He, the Lord of the Noble Throne. 116 And whosoever calleth, along with Allah, unto god, of whom he hath no warranty, then his reckoning is only with his Lord; verily thrive will not the infidels. 117 And say: 'My Lord, forgive and have mercy, for You are the Best of the merciful' 118
