Say thou; my Lord! if Thou wilt shew me that wherewith they are threatened. 93 O my Lord, put me not among the people of the evildoers.' 94 And We are certainly able to show thee (in fulfilment) that against which they are warned. 95 Repel evil with that which is better. We are Best Aware of that which they allege. 96 And say thou: my Lord! I seek refuge with Thee against the whisperings of the satans. 97 and I seek refuge with Thee, O my Sustainer, lest they come near unto me!" 98 When death approaches one of the unbelievers, he says, "Lord, send me back again 99 That I may do some good I did not do (in the world)." Not so. These are only words he utters. Behind them lies the intervening barrier (stretching) to the day of their resurrection. 100 Then when the Trumpet is blown there will be no lineage among them that Day, nor will they ask of each other. 101 And they whose weight [of righteousness] is heavy in the balance - it is they, they who will have attained to a happy state; 102 And as for him whose good deeds are light, these are they who shall have lost their souls, abiding in hell 103 The Fire shall scorch their faces, exposing their jaws. 104 [And God will say:] "Were not My messages conveyed unto you, and were you [not] wont to give them the lie?" 105 They will say: "Our Lord! Our wretchedness overcame us, and we were (an) erring people. 106 Our Lord! Take us out of this. Then if we revert (to evil-doing) we shall indeed be wrongdoers." 107 He will say: "Remain condemned in it, and do not speak to Me. 108 Among My servants, there were those who said, "Lord, We believe, so forgive us and have mercy on us. You are the best one to show mercy." 109 "You mocked and laughed at them until you forgot all about Me. 110 On this day I have given them their reward for their exercising patience and it is they who have triumphed." 111 Then Allah will ask them: "For how many years did you stay on earth?" 112 They will say: "A day or less than a day. Ask the enumerators of numbers." 113 He will say: "Ye stayed not but a little,- if ye had only known! 114 "Did ye then think that We had created you in jest, and that ye would not be brought back to Us (for account)?" 115 Exalted then be God, the King, the Real. There is no god but He, the Lord of the glorious throne. 116 Whoever worships another god apart from God, for which he holds no proof, will have to account for it before his Lord. Verily the unbelievers will not prosper. 117 And say thou: my Lord! forgive and have mercy, and Thou art the Best of the merciful ones. 118
