Say thou; my Lord! if Thou wilt shew me that wherewith they are threatened. 93 My Lord, then do not place me among the wrongdoing people." 94 And verily We are Able to show thee that which We have promised them. 95 Repel evil with that which is best: We are well acquainted with the things they say. 96 Say: "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the evil promptings of the devils. 97 And I seek refuge in Thee! O my Lord! from their presence. 98 Until, when death cometh unto one of them, he saith: My Lord! Send me back, 99 so that perhaps I shall act righteously for the rest of my life." Although he will say so but his wish will never come true. After death they will be behind a barrier until the day of their resurrection. 100 For when the Trumpet is blown, that day there shall be no kinship any more between them, neither will they question one another. 101 Only those whose scales are heavier in the balance will find happiness. 102 But those whose scales are lighter will perish and abide in Hell for ever. 103 The fire shall scorch their faces, and they will remain dejected in it. 104 'What, were My signs not recited to you, and you cried them lies?' 105 They shall say: O our Lord! our adversity overcame us and we were an erring people: 106 O our Sustainer! Cause us to come out of this [suffering] - and then, if ever We revert [to sinning,] may we truly be [deemed] evildoers!" 107 He saith: Begone therein, and speak not unto Me. 108 There was a section among My creatures that said: 'O Lord, we believe. Forgive us and have mercy upon us, for You are the best of the merciful.' 109 But you took them for a mockery until they made you forget My remembrance and you used to laugh at them. 110 Verily I have recompensed them today, for they bore patiently, verily they are the achievers. 111 He will say: "What number of years did ye stay on earth?" 112 They will say: "We stayed a day or part of a day: but ask those who keep account." 113 He will say: 'You have tarried a little, did you know? 114 "Did ye then think that We had created you in jest, and that ye would not be brought back to Us (for account)?" 115 So exalted be Allah, the True King; no god is there but He, the Lord of the honorable dominion. 116 Hence, he who invokes, side by side with God, any other deity - [a deity] for whose existence he has no evidence - shall but find his reckoning with his Sustainer: [and,] verily, such deniers of the truth will never attain to a happy state! 117 And (O Muhammad) say: My Lord! Forgive and have mercy, for Thou art Best of all who show mercy. 118
