Say: 'O my Lord, if Thou shouldst show me that they are promised, 93 "Then, O my Lord! put me not amongst the people who do wrong!" 94 We have certainly the power to make you see what We have promised them. 95 Repel evil with that which is better. We are Best-Acquainted with the things they utter. 96 And say, "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils, 97 And I seek refuge in Thee, my Lord, lest they be present with me, 98 [AS FOR THOSE who will not believe in the life to come, they go on lying to themselves] until, when death approaches any of them, he prays: "O my Sustainer! Let me return, let me return [to life,] 99 that I should do righteousness in that I forsook' No! It is only a word which he will speak. Behind them there shall stand a barrier till the Day that they shall be resurrected. 100 So when the Trumpet is blown – so there will neither be any relationship among them* that day, nor will they ask about one another. (The disbelievers) 101 If the side of ones good deeds weighs heavier on a scale, he will have everlasting happiness, 102 but those whose scales are light shall forfeit their souls and live in Gehenna (Hell) for ever. 103 the fire will scorch their faces, and they will abide therein with their lips distorted in pain. 104 Were not My communications recited to you? But you used to reject them. 105 They will say: "Our Lord! Our misfortune prevailed over us. We were indeed an erring people. 106 Our Lord! Oh, bring us forth from hence! If we return (to evil) then indeed we shall be wrong-doers. 107 'Slink you into it,' He shall say, 'and do not speak to Me. 108 Among My worshipers there were a party who said: "Lord, we believed. Forgive us and have mercy on us: You are the Best of the merciful." 109 "But ye treated them with ridicule, so much so that (ridicule of) them made you forget My Message while ye were laughing at them! 110 Verily! I have rewarded them this Day for their patience, they are indeed the ones that are successful. 111 He will say, “How long did you stay on earth, counting by the number of years? 112 They will say, "We stayed a day or part of a day. Ask those who have kept count." 113 He shall say, 'You have tarried but a little, did you know. 114 Did you imagine that We created you without any purpose, and that you will not be brought back to Us?" 115 So, exalted be Allah, the True King! There is no god but He, the Lord of the Great Throne. 116 And whoever invokes (or worships), besides Allah, any other ilah (god), of whom he has no proof, then his reckoning is only with his Lord. Surely! Al-Kafirun (the disbelievers in Allah and in the Oneness of Allah, polytheists, pagans, idolaters, etc.) will not be successful. 117 So say: "O my Lord! grant Thou forgiveness and mercy for Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!" 118
