Say, "Lord, if you will afflict them with punishment, 93 "Then, O my Lord! put me not amongst the people who do wrong!" 94 [Pray thus] for, behold, We are most certainly able to let thee witness [the fulfillment, even in this world, of] whatever We promise them! 95 Repel evil by what is best; We know best what they describe. 96 And pray: "My Lord! I seek Your refuge from the suggestions of the evil ones; 97 And I seek refuge in You, my Lord, lest they be present with me." 98 lt ceaseth not until when death cometh to one of them, and he saith: my Lord! send me back. 99 That I might do righteousness in that which I left behind." No! It is only a word he is saying; and behind them is a barrier until the Day they are resurrected. 100 Then, when the Trumpet is blown, there will be no kinship among them that Day, nor will they ask of one another. 101 then those whose scales weigh heavy with good works will be successful. 102 But those whose scales are light - those are the ones who have lost their souls, [being] in Hell, abiding eternally. 103 The Fire shall scorch their faces, exposing their jaws. 104 Have not My revelations been rehearsed unto you, and them ye have been belying? 105 They will say: our Lord! our wretchedness overcame us, and we have been a people erring. 106 Get us out of this, O Lord. If we transgress we will surely be sinful." 107 [But] He will say: "Away with you into this [ignominy]! And speak no more unto Me! 108 There was a group of my servants among you who always prayed: Lord, forgive us and grant us mercy; You are the best of those who show mercy. 109 But you took them for a mockery until they made you forget My remembrance and you used to laugh at them. 110 [But,] behold, today I have rewarded them for their patience in adversity: verily, it is they, they who have achieved a triumph!" 111 [And] He will ask [the doomed]: "What number of years have you spent on earth?" 112 They will reply. "We remained for about a day or part of it, but ask those who have kept count". 113 He will say: 'You have tarried a little, did you know? 114 "Do you imagine that We created you without any purpose and that you would not be brought back to Us?" 115 So exalted be Allah, the True King; no god is there but He, the Lord of the honorable dominion. 116 And whoever invokes besides Allah another deity for which he has no proof - then his account is only with his Lord. Indeed, the disbelievers will not succeed. 117 And say: 'My Lord, forgive and have mercy, for You are the Best of the merciful' 118
