Pray, "Lord, if you would show me that [the punishment] of which they have been warned, 93 then do not include me, my Lord, among these wrong-doing people." 94 Indeed, We are able to show you that which We promised them. 95 [But whatever they may say or do,] repel the evil [which they commit] with something that is better: We are fully aware of what they attribute [to Us]. 96 And say: 'O my Lord, I seek refuge in You from evil suggestions of the satans. 97 And I seek refuge with Thee, my Lord! lest they may be present with me. 98 Until, when death cometh unto one of them, he saith: My Lord! Send me back, 99 That I may do right in that which I have left behind! But nay! It is but a word that he speaketh; and behind them is a barrier until the day when they are raised. 100 When the trumpet blast is sounded no ties of lineage will hold among them, nor will they ask after one another. 101 It will be an Hour when those whose scales are heavy, they alone will attain success; 102 And those whose scales are light are those who lose their souls, in hell abiding. 103 The fire shall scorch their faces, and they therein shall be in severe affliction. 104 (They will be told), "Were Our revelations not recited to you and did you not call them lies?" 105 They will say, “Our Lord! Our ill-fate overcame us, and we were the astray people.” 106 O our Lord! Take us out of it; then if we return (to evil) surely we shall be unjust. 107 He will say: 'Slink there in it and do not speak to Me' 108 There was a section among My creatures that said: 'O Lord, we believe. Forgive us and have mercy upon us, for You are the best of the merciful.' 109 “So you took them for a mockery until your mocking at them made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them!” 110 Lo! I have rewarded them this day forasmuch as they were steadfast in that they, even they, are the triumphant. 111 God will ask them, "How many years did you live in your graves?" 112 They will say: we tarried a day or part of a day; ask those who keep count. 113 God will say, "You have indeed remained there for a short time. Would that you knew it during your life time. 114 "Did you think that We had created you in play (without any purpose), and that you would not be brought back to Us?" 115 Exalted then be God, the King, the Real. There is no god but He, the Lord of the glorious throne. 116 One who worships things besides God has no proof of the authority of such things. God is certainly keeping the record of his deeds. The unbelievers will not have everlasting happiness. 117 So say: "O my Lord! grant Thou forgiveness and mercy for Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!" 118
