Say, [O Muhammad], "My Lord, if You should show me that which they are promised, 93 My Lord! then place me not among the wrong-doing people. 94 We have the Power to strike them with torment before your very eyes. 95 Repel evil with that which is best: We are well acquainted with the things they say. 96 And pray: "My Lord! I seek Your refuge from the suggestions of the evil ones; 97 I seek refuge with You, Lord, lest they should come near me." 98 When death comes to any of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back 99 Haply I may do good in that which I have left. By no means! it is a (mere) word that he speaks; and before them is a barrier until the day they are raised. 100 For when the Trumpet is blown, that day there shall be no kinship any more between them, neither will they question one another. 101 Then those whose scales are heavy, they are the successful. 102 And the ones whose scales prove light – it is they who put their lives into ruin, remaining in hell forever. 103 The fire will scorch their faces and they will be groaning therein in pain. 104 "Were not My Signs rehearsed to you, and ye did but treat them as falsehood?" 105 They will say: "Our Lord! Our misfortune prevailed over us. We were indeed an erring people. 106 "Our Lord! Bring us out of this; if ever we return (to evil), then indeed we shall be Zalimun: (polytheists, oppressors, unjust, and wrong-doers, etc.)." 107 He shall say: slink away there unto, and speak not unto Me. 108 "Indeed there was a group among My bondmen who said, 'Our Lord! We have accepted faith, therefore forgive us and have mercy on us, and You are the Best Among The Merciful.' ” 109 “So you took them for a mockery until your mocking at them made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them!” 110 "I have rewarded them this Day for their patience and constancy: they are indeed the ones that have achieved Bliss..." 111 He shall say, 'How long have you tarried in the earth, by number of years?' 112 They will say: We tarried by a day or part of a day. Ask of those who keep count! 113 He will say: "Ye stayed not but a little,- if ye had only known! 114 What! did you then think that We had created you in vain and that you shall not be returned to Us? 115 So exalted be Allah, the True King! there is no god but he, Lord of the Throne honoured. 116 Hence, he who invokes, side by side with God, any other deity - [a deity] for whose existence he has no evidence - shall but find his reckoning with his Sustainer: [and,] verily, such deniers of the truth will never attain to a happy state! 117 And say, (O Muhammad): "My Lord, forgive us and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of those that are merciful." 118
