The Statute Book (Al-Furqaan)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Blessed is He who sent down the Criterion upon His Servant that he may be to the worlds a warner - 1 He to whom the dominion over the heavens and the earth belongs, and who begets no offspring, and has no partner in His dominion: for it is He who creates every thing and determines its nature in accordance with [His own] design. 2 Yet they worship, other than Him, gods which cannot create anything and were themselves created. They own neither harm nor benefit for themselves, neither do they own death nor life, nor a resurrection. 3 Yet the unbelievers say: "This is nothing but a lie he has concocted in which others have aided him." They have come down to mischief and lies. 4 They say, "It is just fables of the ancients, which he has had written down. They are dictated to him morning and evening." 5 Say: "The (Qur'an) was sent down by Him who knows the mystery (that is) in the heavens and the earth: verily He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." 6 They also say: 'How is it that this Messenger eats food and walks about the markets? Why has no angel been sent down with him to warn us? 7 Or a treasure should have been given to him, or he should have had an orchard from which he could eat." And these wicked people say: "You only follow a man ensorcelled." 8 Just see what strange arguments they bring forward with regard to you! They have gone so far astray that they cannot charge any thing against you. 9
