۞ Those who do not expect a meeting with Us say, "Why are angels not sent down to us?" Or "Why do we not see our Lord?" Surely, they are too proud of themselves and have greatly exceeded all bounds. 21 On the day when they behold the angels, on that day there will be no good tidings for the guilty; and they will cry: A forbidding ban! 22 And We will regard what they have done of deeds and make them as dust dispersed. 23 And for the People of the Garden on that day is a better destination and account, and a better place of afternoon rest. 24 And the day when the sky will be split asunder with clouds and the angels will be sent down in full. 25 on that Day [it will become obvious to all that] true sovereignty belongs to the Most Gracious [alone]: hence, a Day of distress will it be for all who deny the truth, 26 The sinner will then bite his hand and say: "Would that I had taken the road with the Prophet. 27 Oh, woe to me! I wish I had not taken that one as a friend. 28 He indeed led me astray from the Remembrance, after it had come to me; Satan is ever a forsaker of men.' 29 The Messenger says: 'O my Lord, my people have taken this Koran while deserting it' 30 thus did We assign to every prophet an enemy from among the sinners; your Lord is sufficient as a guide and a helper. 31 And those who disbelieve say: Why has not the Quran been revealed to him all at once? Thus, that We may strengthen your heart by it and We have arranged it well in arranging. 32 They bring not to thee any similitude but that We bring thee the truth, and better in exposition. 33 Those who will be pushed faces forward into Hell will be in a worse position, farther away from the path. 34
