۞ Say those who look not to encounter Us, 'Why have the angels not been sent down on us, or why see we not our Lord?' Waxed proud they have within them, and become greatly disdainful. 21 The day they see the angels there will be no happy tidings for the sinners; and they will say: "There is an insurmountable barrier!" 22 Then We shall advance upon the work which they have done and render it as scattered dust. 23 The companions of Paradise, that Day, are [in] a better settlement and better resting place. 24 On that Day, a cloud will appear rending the sky and the angels will be senthi down rank after rank. 25 The dominion on that Day shall be the true dominion of the Compassionate, and it shall be a day upon the infidels hard. 26 It will be a hard day for the unbelievers. It will be a day when the unjust will bite their fingers, (regretfully) saying, "Would that we had followed the path of the Messengers. 27 Alas for me! Ah, would that I had never taken such an one for friend! 28 "He indeed led me astray from the Reminder (this Quran) after it had come to me. And Shaitan (Satan) is ever a deserter to man in the hour of need." 29 The Messenger will say, "Lord, my people did indeed discard the Quran," 30 And thus have We made for every prophet an enemy from among the criminals. But sufficient is your Lord as a guide and a helper. 31 Those who reject Faith say: "Why is not the Qur'an revealed to him all at once? Thus (is it revealed), that We may strengthen thy heart thereby, and We have rehearsed it to thee in slow, well-arranged stages, gradually. 32 And they do not come to you with an argument except that We bring you the truth and the best explanation. 33 Those who will be dragged on their faces towards hell – theirs is the worst destination and they are the most astray. 34
