۞ And those who do not expect to meet Us said, “Why were the angels not sent down to us or we been able to see our Lord?” Indeed they thought too highly of themselves and they turned extremely rebellious. 21 The day when they will see the angels – that day will not be of any happiness for the guilty – and they will cry, “O God, erect a barrier between us and them!” 22 and We shall take all that they did and turn it into scattered dust. 23 Fellows of the Garden shall be on that Day in a goodly abode and a goodly repose. 24 On that day the sky will be crystal blue, clear of clouds. The angels will descend in groups 25 the true Kingdom on that Day shall belong to the Merciful a harsh day for the unbelievers. 26 On the Day when the wrong-doer shall gnaw his hands saying: would that I had taken with the apostle a way! 27 Ah! woe unto me! Would that I had never taken such a one for a friend! 28 "He did lead me astray from the Message (of Allah) after it had come to me! Ah! the Evil One is but a traitor to man!" 29 The Messenger says, 'O my Lord, behold, my people have taken this Koran as a thing to be shunned.' 30 For so it is that against every prophet We have set up enemies from among those who are lost in sin: yet none can guide and give succour as thy Sustainer does! 31 And those who disbelieve say: "Why is not the Quran revealed to him all at once?" Thus (it is sent down in parts), that We may strengthen your heart thereby. And We have revealed it to you gradually, in stages. (It was revealed to the Prophet SAW in 23 years.). 32 And no question do they bring to thee but We reveal to thee the truth and the best explanation (thereof). 33 The ones who are gathered on their faces to Hell - those are the worst in position and farthest astray in [their] way. 34
