Al-Furqaan 4 of 6
And assuredly We vouchsafed unto Musa the Book and We placed with him his brother Harun as a minister. 35 and We said, 'Go to the people who have cried lies to Our signs'; then We destroyed them utterly. 36 And the people of Nuh! when they belied the apostles We drowned them, and made them a sign unto mankind. And We have gotten ready unto the wrong-doers a torment afflictive. 37 Likewise were destroyed the `Ad and the Thamud and the people of the Rass, and many a generation in between. 38 To each one We set forth Parables and examples; and each one We broke to utter annihilation (for their sins). 39 Surely, these people have passed by that habitation on which was rained an evil rain: have they not seen its ruins? But they do not expect another life in the Hereafter. 40 And when they see you (O Muhammad SAW), they treat you only as a mockery (saying):"Is this the one whom Allah has sent as a Messenger? 41 Had we not been steadfast he would almost have led us astray from our gods." On facing torment they will soon know who had really gone astray. 42 Have you seen him who takes his low desires for his god? Will you then be a protector over him? 43 Do you think most of them can hear or understand? They are like cattle. Indeed, they are even more astray. 44
