Hast thou not turned thy vision to thy Lord?- How He doth prolong the shadow! If He willed, He could make it stationary! then do We make the sun its guide; 45 Then We draw it in towards Ourselves,- a contraction by easy stages. 46 And it is He Who makes the night a covering for you, and the sleep (as) repose, and makes the day Nushur (i.e. getting up and going about here and there for daily work, etc. after one's sleep at night or like resurrection after one's death). 47 And He it is Who sends the winds as good news before His mercy; and We send down pure water from the cloud, 48 That We may bring to life thereby a dead land and give it as drink to those We created of numerous livestock and men. 49 And We distribute it among them in various ways that they may ponder and reflect; yet most men disdain everything but denial and thanklessness. 50 If We willed, We could have sent a Herald of Warning to every village. 51 So do not listen to unbelievers, and strive against them with greater effort. 52 ۞ AND HE it is who has given freedom of movement to the two great bodies of water - the one sweet and thirst-allaying, and the other salty and bitter - and yet has wrought between them a barrier and a forbidding ban. 53 And He it is Who hath created man from water, and hath appointed for him kindred by blood and kindred by marriage; for thy Lord is ever Powerful. 54 And yet, some people worship, instead of God, things that can neither benefit them nor harm them: thus, he who denies the truth does indeed turn his back on his Sustainer! 55 We did not send you but as a bearer of glad tidings and as a warner. 56 Say: "For this, no reward do I ask of you - [no reward] other than that he who so wills may unto his Sustainer find a way!" 57 And put your trust (O Muhammad SAW) in the Ever Living One Who dies not, and glorify His Praises, and Sufficient is He as the All-Knower of the sins of His slaves; 58 (It is) He who, in six days created the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, and then He willed to the Throne. The Merciful; ask about Him from he who knows Him. 59 When they are told to prostrate themselves before the Beneficent God, they say, "Who is the Beneficent God? Why should we prostrate ourselves before the one whom you have commanded us to?" This only increases their rebelliousness. ۩ 60
