Have you not considered your Lord - how He extends the shadow, and if He willed, He could have made it stationary? Then We made the sun for it an indication. 45 Then We withdraw it to Us a gradual concealed withdrawal. 46 It is He who made the night a mantle for you, and sleep for repose; and made the day a time for rising. 47 And He it is who sends forth the winds as a glad tiding of His coming grace; and [thus, too,] We cause pure water to descend from the skies, 48 so that He may revive the dead land, and quench the thirst of many of His creatures from among beasts and men. 49 We have explained it to them in diverse ways, so that they may take heed, but most persist in their ingratitude. 50 If We had so wished, We might have sent a warner into every town, 51 hence, do not defer to [the likes and dislikes of] those who deny the truth, but strive hard against them, by means of this [divine writ,] with utmost striving. 52 ۞ It is He who released the two bodies of flowing water, one sweet and fresh and the other salty and bitter, and set up an insurmountable barrier between them. 53 And it is He who hath created man from water, and then made for him kinship by blood and marriage. And thy Lord is ever potent. 54 And yet they worship besides God what cannot bring them gain or do them harm. The unbeliever has always been an auxiliary against his Lord. 55 And We have sent you (O Muhammad SAW) only as a bearer of glad tidings and a warner. 56 Tell them, "I ask no recompense for my preaching to you, except the fact that whoever wants should choose the way of God." 57 Put thy trust in the Living God, the Undying, and proclaim His praise. Sufficiently is He aware of His servants sins 58 The One Who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six days, then befitting His Majesty, established Himself upon the Throne (of control); the Most Gracious – therefore ask the one who knows, concerning Him! 59 When they are told, "Prostrate yourselves before the Gracious One," they ask, "Who is this Gracious One? Shall we prostrate ourselves before whatever you will?" This increases their aversion. ۩ 60
