Have you not seen how your Lord lengthens out the shadow? He could have kept it motionless if He liked. Yet We make the sun its pilot to show the way. 45 then (as the sun climbs up), We roll it up little by little towards Ourselves. 46 It is He who made the night a mantle for you, and sleep for repose; and made the day a time for rising. 47 And it is He, Who drives the winds to be the harbingers of His mercy: then He sends down pure water from the sky 48 so that He may revive the dead land, and quench the thirst of many of His creatures from among beasts and men. 49 And We have distributed the (water) amongst them, in order that they may celebrate (our) praises, but most men are averse (to aught) but (rank) ingratitude. 50 Had We wanted We could have sent a Prophet to every town. 51 So do not follow the unbelievers, and strive against them a mighty striving with it. 52 ۞ And it is He, Who has let loose the two seas, one palatable and sweet, the other bitter and saltish, and there is a partition between them, which is an insurmountable barrier. 53 And it is He who hath created man from water, and then made for him kinship by blood and marriage. And thy Lord is ever potent. 54 But they worship rather than Allah that which does not benefit them or harm them, and the disbeliever is ever, against his Lord, an assistant [to Satan]. 55 Yet [withal, O Prophet,] We have sent thee only as a herald of glad tidings and a warner. 56 Say: I ask of you no reward for this, save that whoso will may choose a way unto his Lord. 57 Put your trust in the One who is the Ever-Living [God], who never dies, and glorify Him with His praise. He is fully aware of the sins of His servants; 58 Who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six Days. Then He Istawa (rose over) the Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). The Most Beneficent (Allah)! Ask Him (O Prophet Muhammad SAW), (concerning His Qualities, His rising over His Throne, His creations, etc.), as He is Al-Khabir (The All-Knower of everything i.e. Allah). 59 But when they are told, 'Bow yourselves to the All-merciful,' they say, 'And what is the All-merciful? Shall we bow ourselves to what thou biddest us?' And it increases them in aversion. ۩ 60
