Hast thou not seen how thy Lord hath spread the shade - And if He willed He could have made it still - then We have made the sun its pilot; 45 and then, [after having caused it to lengthen,] We draw it in towards Ourselves with a gradual drawing-in. 46 And it is He Who makes the night a covering for you, and the sleep (as) repose, and makes the day Nushur (i.e. getting up and going about here and there for daily work, etc. after one's sleep at night or like resurrection after one's death). 47 And He it is who sends forth the winds as a glad tiding of His coming grace; and [thus, too,] We cause pure water to descend from the skies, 48 so that He may revive the dead land, and quench the thirst of many of His creatures from among beasts and men. 49 We have indeed turned it about them, so that they remember; yet most people refuse all except disbelief. 50 Had We willed, We would have raised up a separate Warner in each habitation. 51 Se obey not thou the infidels, but strive against them therewith with a great striving. 52 ۞ And it is He who has released [simultaneously] the two seas, one fresh and sweet and one salty and bitter, and He placed between them a barrier and prohibiting partition. 53 And it is He who created the human from water and gave him kindred of blood and of marriage. Your Lord is the Powerful. 54 And they (disbelievers, polytheists, etc.) worship besides Allah, that which can neither profit them nor harm them, and the disbeliever is ever a helper (of the Satan) against his Lord. 55 We have sent thee not, except good tidings to bear, and warning. 56 Proclaim, “I do not ask any fee from you for this, except that whoever wills may take the way to his Lord.” 57 And put your trust (O Muhammad SAW) in the Ever Living One Who dies not, and glorify His Praises, and Sufficient is He as the All-Knower of the sins of His slaves; 58 He created the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them in six spans then assumed His authority. He is the benevolent: Ask those who are well-informed. 59 When you say to them: "Bow before Ar-Rahman," they say: "What is Ar-Rahman? Should we adore whoever you ask us to?" And their aversion increases further. ۩ 60
