Blessed be He Who has placed in the heaven big stars, and has placed therein a great lamp (sun), and a moon giving light. 61 And He it is Who made the night and the day to follow each other for him who desires to be mindful or desires to be thankful. 62 The (faithful) slaves of the Beneficent are they who walk upon the earth modestly, and when the foolish ones address them answer: Peace; 63 They are those who spend the night worshipping their Lord, prostrating, and standing, 64 And those who say: "Our Lord! Avert from us the torment of Hell. Verily! Its torment is ever an inseparable, permanent punishment." 65 Lo! it is wretched as abode and station; 66 And [they are] those who, when they spend, do so not excessively or sparingly but are ever, between that, [justly] moderate 67 who do not call upon another god with Allah, nor slay the soul which Allah has forbidden except by right; who do not fornicate, for he who does this shall face punishment 68 The doom will be doubled for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein disdained for ever; 69 except for those who repent and believe and do good deeds. God will change the evil deeds of such people into good ones: He is most forgiving and most merciful. 70 He who repents and does good works truly turns to Allah in repentance, 71 And those who bear not false witness and, when they pass by idle talk, pass by with dignity; 72 who, when reminded of the revelations of their Lord, do not try to ignore them as though deaf and blind. Rather, they try to understand and think about them. 73 And those who say: "O Lord, give us comfort in our spouses and children, and make us paragons of those who follow the straight path." 74 Those shall be recompensed with the highest rank for their patience. There they shall receive a greeting, and peace! 75 Abiding there for ever. Happy is it as abode and station! 76 (Muhammad), say (to the disbeliever) "It does not matter to my Lord whether you worship Him or not. You have rejected His guidance and your punishment is inevitable." 77
