Blessed be He who has set the constellations in the heaven, and set amongst them a sun, and an illuminating moon. 61 it is He who has made night and day succeed each other, a sign for those who would take heed and would be grateful. 62 And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth easily, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace, 63 And who spend the night prostrating and standing, for their Lord. 64 And they who say: O our Lord! turn away from us the punishment of hell, surely the punishment thereof is a lasting 65 Indeed, it is evil as a settlement and residence." 66 Those who, when they spend, are not extravagant and not niggardly, but hold a just (balance) between those (extremes); 67 And those who do not worship any other deity along with Allah, and do not unjustly kill any living thing which Allah has forbidden, nor commit adultery; and whoever does this will receive punishment. 68 [but] shall have his suffering doubled on Resurrection Day: for on that [Day] he shall abide in ignominy. 69 Except those who repent and believe (in Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds, for those, Allah will change their sins into good deeds, and Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. 70 And whoever repents and does good deeds – so he has inclined towards Allah with repentance as was required. 71 And those who bear not false witness and, when they pass by idle talk, pass by with dignity; 72 and who, whenever they are reminded of their Sustainer's messages, do not throw themselves upon them [as if] deaf and blind; 73 And who say: Our Lord! Vouchsafe us comfort of our wives and of our offspring, and make us patterns for (all) those who ward off (evil). 74 Those shall be rewarded with the highest apartment, because they persevered; and therein they shall be met with a greeting and salutation. 75 therein to abide: [and] how goodly an abode and [how high] a station! 76 Say (to the Rejecters): "My Lord is not uneasy because of you if ye call not on Him: But ye have indeed rejected (Him), and soon will come the inevitable (punishment)!" 77
