Exalted is He who put constellations in the heavens, a radiant lamp and an illuminating moon -- 61 it is He who has made night and day succeed each other, a sign for those who would take heed and would be grateful. 62 For, [true] servants of the Most Gracious are [only] they who walk gently on earth, and who, whenever the foolish address them, reply with [words of] peace; 63 who pass the night prostrating and standing to their Lord. 64 who say, 'Our Lord, turn Thou from us the chastisement of Gehenna; surely its chastisement is torment most terrible; 65 "Evil indeed is it as an abode, and as a place to rest in"; 66 And those who when they expend, are neither extravagant nor sparing, and it is a medium in-between. 67 who do not worship idols besides God, nor without a just cause murder a soul to whom God has granted amnesty, who do not commit fornication, for those who do so have committed a sin 68 (But) the Penalty on the Day of Judgment will be doubled to him, and he will dwell therein in ignominy,- 69 But only those who repent and believe and act righteously will have their sins replaced by virtue; God is All-forgiving and All-merciful. 70 And whosoever repents and does righteous good deeds, then verily, he repents towards Allah with true repentance. 71 And those who do not give false testimony, and when they pass near some indecency, they pass by it saving their honour. 72 who, when they are reminded of the signs of their Lord, fall not down thereat deaf and blind; 73 Those who say: 'Lord give us of our wives and children what pleases our eyes and make us leaders to the fearful' 74 These are the ones who will be rewarded with lofty mansions in Paradise, for their steadfastness. They will be received therein with greetings of welcome and salutations of peace. 75 Abiding therein; excellent it is as an abode, and as a place to dwell. 76 Say, "What would my Lord care for you, if you do not call on Him. Because you have indeed rejected the truth and His punishment is bound to overtake you. 77
