Highly blessed is He, Who has made fortified spheres in the heavens and has set in it a "lamp" and a shining moon. 61 And He it is Who has put the night and the day in succession, for such who desires to remember or desires to show his gratitude. 62 And the servants of the Beneficent Allah are they who walk on the earth in humbleness, and when the ignorant address them, they say: Peace. 63 And they who pass the night prostrating themselves before their Lord and standing. 64 who say, "Our Lord, ward off from us the punishment of Hell, for its punishment is a dreadful torment to suffer. 65 Indeed, it is an evil abode and evil dwelling-place." 66 And they who when they spend, are neither extravagant nor parsimonious, and (keep) between these the just mean. 67 who do not call upon another god with Allah, nor slay the soul which Allah has forbidden except by right; who do not fornicate, for he who does this shall face punishment 68 The punishment shall be doubled to him on the day of resurrection, and he shall abide therein in abasement; 69 Unless he repents, believes, and works righteous deeds, for Allah will change the evil of such persons into good, and Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful, 70 In fact, the one who repents and does righteous deeds, returns to Allah as one ightly should. - 71 And those who do not bear false witness, and when they pass by frivolity, they pass by with dignity; 72 And they who, when reminded of the communications of their Lord, do not fall down thereat deaf and blind. 73 And they who say: O our Lord! grant us in our wives and our offspring the joy of our eyes, and make us guides to those who guard (against evil). 74 Those will be awarded the Chamber for what they patiently endured, and they will be received therein with greetings and [words of] peace. 75 There they shall live for ever; a fine dwelling place, and residence. 76 Say thou: my Lord careth not for you were it not for your prayer; whereas ye have even belied, so presently this denial shall come as the cleaving punishment. 77
