Al-Furqaan 6 of 6
Blessed is He Who made the constellations in the heavens and made therein a lamp and a shining moon. 61 And it is He Who hath appointed the night and the day a succession, for him who desireth to consider or desireth to be grateful. 62 And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth easily, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace, 63 And those who spend their nights bowed and standing before their Lord; 64 who say, "Our Lord, ward off from us the punishment of Hell, for its punishment is a dreadful torment to suffer. 65 "Evil indeed is it as an abode, and as a place to rest in"; 66 And those, who, when they spend, are neither extravagant nor niggardly, but hold a medium (way) between those (extremes). 67 And those who call not unto other god along with Allah and slay not any soul which Allah hath forbidden, save in justification, and commit not fornication. And whosoever shall do this, shall incur the meed. 68 Multiplied for him is the punishment on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein humiliated - 69 But only those who repent and believe and act righteously will have their sins replaced by virtue; God is All-forgiving and All-merciful. 70 Those who repent and act righteously have truly returned to God, 71 And those who do not give false testimony, and when they pass near some indecency, they pass by it saving their honour. 72 Those who, when they are admonished with the Signs of their Lord, droop not down at them as if they were deaf or blind; 73 Those who say: 'Lord give us of our wives and children what pleases our eyes and make us leaders to the fearful' 74 [Such as] these will be rewarded for all their patient endurance [in life] with a high station [in paradise,] and will be met therein with a greeting of welcome and peace, 75 therein to abide: [and] how goodly an abode and [how high] a station! 76 Say, "What would my Lord care for you, if you do not call on Him. Because you have indeed rejected the truth and His punishment is bound to overtake you. 77
God the Almighty always says the truth.
