Most Auspicious is He Who created lofty towers in the sky and placed a lamp in it, and the luminous moon. 61 And it is He who made the night and day a succession for whom He desires to remember or He desires to be thankful. 62 Devotees of Ar-Rahman are those who walk with humility on the earth, and when they are addressed by the ignorant, say: 'Peace;" 63 Those who spend the night in adoration of their Lord prostrate and standing; 64 Who say: 'Our Lord, turn from us the punishment of Gehenna, for its punishment is the most terrible; 65 Evil indeed it (Hell) is as an abode and as a place to dwell. 66 and who, whenever they spend on others, are neither wasteful nor niggardly but [remember that] there is always a just mean between those [two extremes]; 67 who do not worship idols besides God, nor without a just cause murder a soul to whom God has granted amnesty, who do not commit fornication, for those who do so have committed a sin 68 doubled for him on the Day of Resurrection is his punishment, and therein he shall live, humbled, 69 Save him who repenteth and believeth and worketh righteous work. Then these! for them Allah shall change their vices into virtues. Verily Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful. 70 and whosoever repents, and does righteousness, he truly turns to God in repentance. 71 And those who do not bear false witness, and when they pass by frivolity, they pass by with dignity; 72 who do not behave like the blind and the deaf, when the Revelations of their Lord are recited to them for admonition; 73 They pray, "Lord, let our spouses and children be the delight of our eyes and ourselves examples for the pious ones." 74 Those are the ones who will be rewarded with the highest place in heaven, because of their patient constancy: therein shall they be met with salutations and peace, 75 Abiding therein; goodly the abode and the resting-place. 76 Say thou: my Lord careth not for you were it not for your prayer; whereas ye have even belied, so presently this denial shall come as the cleaving punishment. 77
