The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta-Seen-Meem. (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah, and to whomever he reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 These are verses of the Book that makes (things) clear. 2 Perchance thou consumest thyself that they are not believers. 3 But if We had so willed, We could have sent down to them a sign from the heavens so that their heads would be bowed down before it in utter humility. 4 Never does there come to them an admonition from the Merciful Lord but they turn away from it. 5 Indeed they have denied, so now soon coming upon them are the tidings of what they used to scoff at. 6 Did they not look at the earth - how much We have produced therein from every noble kind? 7 Verily therein is a sign; yet most of them are not believers. 8 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 9
