The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Ta. Sin. Mim. 1 These are the verses of a Book luminous. 2 Perhaps you will kill yourself with grief because they do not believe. 3 If We please, We should send down upon them a sign from the heaven so that their necks should stoop to it. 4 And no revelation comes to them anew from the Most Merciful except that they turn away from it. 5 thus, indeed, have they given the lie (to this message as well). But [in time] they will come to understand what it was that they were wont to deride! 6 Have they not seen the earth in which We have made gracious plants grow? 7 Surely, in this there is a sign yet most of them do not believe. 8 And verily, thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 9
