The Poets (Alshu'araa')
227 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah) before The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Ta-Seen-Meem. (Alphabets of the Arabic language Allah, and to whomever he reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 These are the verses of the clear Book. 2 You may perhaps wear out your heart because they do not come to belief. 3 If We will, We could send down to them from the heaven a sign, to which they would bend their necks in humility. 4 Never cometh there unto them a fresh reminder from the Beneficent One, but they turn away from it. 5 Indeed they have denied, so now soon coming upon them are the tidings of what they used to scoff at. 6 Have they not seen the earth, how much of every fruitful kind We make to grow therein? 7 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 8 Your Lord is surely mighty and merciful. 9
