The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta. Sin. Mim. 1 Those are the signs of the Manifest Book. 2 (O Muhammad), you will perhaps grieve yourself to death because these people do not believe. 3 But if We had so willed, We could have sent down to them a sign from the heavens so that their heads would be bowed down before it in utter humility. 4 [But We have not willed it:] and so, whenever there comes unto them any fresh reminder from the Most Gracious, they [who are blind of heart] always - turn their backs upon it: 5 they have indeed rejected the message. But the truth of what they laughed to scorn will dawn upon them before long. 6 Have they not seen the earth, how many We caused to grow in it every generous kind? 7 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them will not accept faith. 8 truly, your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 9
