The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ TA SIN MIM. 1 These are the Verses of the manifest Book [this Quran, which was promised by Allah in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), makes things clear]. 2 Wouldst thou, perhaps, torment thyself to death [with grief] because they [who live around thee] refuse to believe [in it]? 3 If We will, We can send down on them from the sky a portent so that their necks would remain bowed before it. 4 And no revelation comes to them anew from the Most Merciful except that they turn away from it. 5 thus, indeed, have they given the lie (to this message as well). But [in time] they will come to understand what it was that they were wont to deride! 6 Have they, then, never considered the earth - how much of every noble kind [of life] We have caused to grow thereon? 7 Verily there are signs in this; yet many of them do not believe. 8 Verily Your Lord is Infinitely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 9
