The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ TA SIN MIM. 1 These are the Verses of the manifest Book [this Quran, which was promised by Allah in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), makes things clear]. 2 Wouldst thou, perhaps, torment thyself to death [with grief] because they [who live around thee] refuse to believe [in it]? 3 Had We wanted, We would have sent them a miracle from the sky to make their heads hang down in submission. 4 But there comes not to them a newly-revealed Message from (Allah) Most Gracious, but they turn away therefrom. 5 they have indeed rejected the message. But the truth of what they laughed to scorn will dawn upon them before long. 6 Do they not observe the earth, how much of every good kind We cause to grow therein? 7 In this, behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 8 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 9
