The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta Sin Mim. 1 These are the Verses of the manifest Book [this Quran, which was promised by Allah in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), makes things clear]. 2 Wouldst thou, perhaps, torment thyself to death [with grief] because they [who live around thee] refuse to believe [in it]? 3 If We please, We should send down upon them a sign from the heaven so that their necks should stoop to it. 4 And there does not come to them a new reminder from the Beneficent Allah but they turn aside from it. 5 Surely they have done with denying; soon will come to them the news of what they were laughing at. 6 What, have they not regarded the earth, how many therein We have caused to grow of every generous kind? 7 Verily there are signs in this; yet many of them do not believe. 8 And verily, your Lord! He is truly the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 9
