The Poets (Alshu'araa')
227 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah) before The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta Sin Mim 1 Those are the signs of the Manifest Book. 2 Wouldst thou, perhaps, torment thyself to death [with grief] because they [who live around thee] refuse to believe [in it]? 3 If (such) were Our Will, We could send down to them from the sky a Sign, to which they would bend their necks in humility. 4 Never does there come to them an admonition from the Merciful Lord but they turn away from it. 5 So they have indeed rejected (the truth), therefore the news of that which they mock shall soon come to them. 6 Have they not seen the earth in which We have made gracious plants grow? 7 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 8 truly, your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 9
