The Poets (Alshu'araa')
227 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah) before The Ant (Al-Naml)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta. Sin. Mim. 1 These are the verses of the Book that makes (things) clear. 2 Perchance thou consumest thyself that they are not believers. 3 If We please, We should send down upon them a sign from the heaven so that their necks should stoop to it. 4 And no revelation comes to them anew from the Most Merciful except that they turn away from it. 5 They have called (our revelation) lies. They will soon learn the consequences of what they mocked. 6 Have they not seen the earth, that how many honourable pairs We have created in it? 7 Verily there are signs in this; yet many of them do not believe. 8 And indeed your Lord indeed only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 9
