The Poets (Alshu'araa')

227 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah) before The Ant (Al-Naml)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

۞ Ta. Sin. Mim. 1 These are verses of the clear Book. 2 You may perhaps wear out your heart because they do not come to belief. 3 Had We wanted, We would have sent them a miracle from the sky to make their heads hang down in submission. 4 [But We have not willed it:] and so, whenever there comes unto them any fresh reminder from the Most Gracious, they [who are blind of heart] always - turn their backs upon it: 5 They will soon come to know the truth of that which they have been scoffing at. 6 Have they, then, never considered the earth - how much of every noble kind [of life] We have caused to grow thereon? 7 Verily therein is a sign; yet most of them are not believers. 8 Your Lord is surely mighty and merciful. 9
