In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ TaSeenMeem. 1 These are the Verses of the manifest Book [this Quran, which was promised by Allah in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), makes things clear]. 2 Belike thou shalt kill thyself with grief because they become not believers. 3 If We will, We could send down to them from the heaven a sign, to which they would bend their necks in humility. 4 And there does not come to them a new reminder from the Beneficent Allah but they turn aside from it. 5 Now they have denied (the Truth); but there will come unto them tidings of that whereat they used to scoff. 6 Do they not see the earth, and what beneficial kinds of things We have caused to grow in it? 7 Surely in this there is a sign, yet most of them would not believe: 8 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 9

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
