The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Ta-Seen-Meem. (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah, and to whomever he reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 These are the verses of the illustrious Book. 2 It may be that thou tormentest thyself (O Muhammad) because they believe not. 3 We could send down from the heavens a sign to them if We pleased, before which their heads would remain bowed. 4 Whenever a new message comes to them from the Beneficent God, they turn away from it. 5 So they have cried lies; therefore assuredly tidings will come to them of that they mocked at. 6 Have they not seen the earth, how many We caused to grow in it every generous kind? 7 In this there is, certainly, evidence (of the Truth). But most of them have no faith. 8 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 9
