The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta, Seen, Meem. 1 These are the verses of the Clear Book. 2 Wouldst thou, perhaps, torment thyself to death [with grief] because they [who live around thee] refuse to believe [in it]? 3 If We will, We can send down a Sign to them from heaven, so their necks will be humbled to it. 4 And there cometh not unto them any fresh admonition from the Compassionate but they are wont to be therefrom backsliders. 5 They have indeed rejected (the Message): so they will know soon (enough) the truth of what they mocked at! 6 Have they, then, never considered the earth - how much of every noble kind [of life] We have caused to grow thereon? 7 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 8 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 9
